Well, it's a long story...(ok, not too long).

Berends Automotive's humble roots stretch far back to 1984.

The Berends family originally built the shop back in 1984 , and opened in 1985. It was their goal to provide services to locals in the Osgoode area.

In April, 2005 Jason Berends and his wife Robin took over the family business and have been operating ever since.

Who's who?

Jason (Master Mechanic):

Jason owns and operates Berends Automotive and is a 2nd generation licensed mechanic.

A bit about Jason :

• Specializes in tires and exhaust systems
• Is a  member of the Used Car Dealers Association (UCDA) of Ontario (more info)
• Proficient at winter undercoating (Sept. - Dec.)
• Up-to-date with new trends and technology
• Adheres to Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS)  (more info)
• Drive Clean tester and repair technician

Mechanics - Dale, Aaron W. & Aaron D.

Dale started at the garage in the fall of 2017. He has been working in the mechanics field for over 15 years and is always willing to help out. We appreciate his hard work, knowledge and abilities, and look forward to having him with us for a long time.

Aaron W. has been working at the garage since August 2021. He is an exceptionally skilled licensed mechanic and his dedication and hard work has been a very valuable asset to our team. He is always eager to learn new things and we are happy to have him on our team!

Aaron D. has also been working at the garage since August 2021. He is a fully licensed mechanic who is always eager to learn new things. He is a hard worker and we are happy he chose to join our team.

We are happy to have such reliable, and hard working employees working with us to solve your vehicles problems!

Heavy Duty Drive Clean Technicians, Jason & Dale: Drive Clean Technicians, Ben and Wilfred:

Drive Clean is Ontario's mandatory vehicle emissions inspection and maintenance program that is reducing vehicle emissions of smog-causing  pollutants by requiring vehicles to undergo an emissions test to identify emissions problems and have them repaired.  In addition to smog-causing pollutants, Drive Clean is also reducing vehicle emissions of other chemicals, including greenhouse gases that damage our health and our environment (more info).

Berends is home to 2 Drive Clean Technicians, Jason, and Dale, and 1 Drive Clean Repair Technician, Jason.

Office Staff, Robin & Jen:

Simply put, the shop couldn't run without Robin & Jen. They are the heart of the business and will meet and greet you when you visit Berends Automotive. Together, they keep the books, the shop, and the boys in line.

It's all about service.

Quite simply, it is Berends Automotive's reasonable rates, industry expertise, honesty & reliability that their clients have come to know and love. It's a family business, and this has been a driving force behind the shop's success.
